Colonel (Retired) Kimberlie A. Biever, MSN, RN, ANP-BC, CCNS, CCRN is a nurse practitioner at My Urgent Care Clinic – Bergheim. She is also a Visiting Professor for Chamberlain University. She is on the Operations Board of Directors for the Alamo Chapter of the Military Officer’s Association of America. She is the President Elect 2024-2025 for the San Antonio Chapter of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. She is also the Convention Chair for the Army Nurse Corps Association for 2024. She has interests in prehospital care, critical care, emergency care, flight nursing and trauma. Kimberlie spent over 34 years in the military with over 29 of them on active duty in the Army, retiring in March 2023. Military assignments and duties included Acting Commander, Deputy Commanding Officer and Critical Care Section Chief, Brooke Army Medical Center; Chief of Staff, Regional Health Command – Central; Hospital Commander, General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital; Chief Nurse, Joint Trauma System; Consultant to the Army Surgeon General for En Route Critical Care. Kimberlie completed a Fellowship at the RAND Corporation in Santa Monica, CA studying policy analysis, research and program management. She deployed in 2001 as a Nurse Practitioner with the 28th Combat Support Hospital, in 2009 as the Program Manager with the Joint Theater Trauma System for CENTCOM, and in 2012 with the 30th & 62nd Medical Brigades as the En Route Critical Care Director for Afghanistan. She enjoys teaching, caring for patients and leading - especially through change
